Roma Jazz Festival

We took care of the creative part of 6 editions (25th to 29th and 31st) of this important musical event, declining a different theme each year, identified in collaboration with the creator and Art Director of the festival Mario Ciampà (25th edition, “Zerouno”; 26th edition “Tradavanguardia”; 27th edition “Jazz galaxy”; 28th edition “Jazz&Art Art&Jazz”; 29th edition “Crazy for Jazz”; 31st edition “Metasax”).

Creative inspiration was allowed to flow freely, as is in the very character of Jazz, expressing new artistic languages through a contamination of treatments, materials and styles. And this is jazz, beauty!

The visual identity of the individual editions of Roma Jazz festival includes: Event logo of all editions – Programs – Admission tickets – Press conference invitations – Gadget posters – Street posters, retrobuses – Calendar for the 25th edition.
25th anniversary magazine for the 26th edition – Crepax and Jazz exhibition catalog, Rome Auditorium, on the occasion of the 29th edition.

Task

Rome meets Jazz is a world that meets another world and gives rise to a new galaxy. Big ben, big band and Cristina's flick of wings unleashing the rhythm of colors.

28th Jazz & Art Program · Art & Jazz

All arts tend to music

What remains of the great cultural ferment after the free jazz and conformism of the 1980s? Not much but enough to give hope for a New Jazz Reinassance.

This is the meaning and proposal of the 28th edition of the Roma Jazz Festival with the emblematic title of Jazz&Art Art&Jazz, an exploration of today’s relationship between jazz and other cultural expressions.

Metasax 31st edition program

From jazz music the saxophone has received that consecration that has made it one of the most popular instruments, quickly growing in importance on the world stage thanks in part to its gifts of expressiveness and ductility.

Hence the idea of dedicating the festival to the great masters and young talents who express the great art of jazz with the saxophone.

Posters

As a gadget of the event each year, the Roma Jazz festival organization distributed posters.

Crepax Exhibition Catalog

As part of the 29th Roma Jazz Festival entitled “Crazy for Jazz” the idea of exhibiting, for the first time organically, the drawings and plates on jazz by artist Guido Crepax comes to life.

Commemorative Exhibition

In 2016, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary the Rome Auditorium hosted an exhibition with gadget posters from all editions.
