Architects in Cooperation and Solidarity
The World is our Home. The iconographic treatment expresses the Department’s mission to build infrastructure and intervene in the social fabric with uplifting intent, to build houses and buildings and to stand as a constructive factor for society.
The site was developed in 2020 and recently updated, adding a Ukrainian Emergency section from which one can access a networking platform between Italian architecture firms and Ukrainian refugee architects and architecture students in Italy to exchange work and hospitality.
Task
Within the framework of the policies of the National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscape Architects and Conservators - CNAPPC, has been established the Internationalization, International Cooperation and Labor Export Department. It is aimed at Italian architects interested in working in the field of Italian and international cooperation. In particular, the Department deals with issues related to emergency and humanitarian architecture, with priority given to scenarios affected by disasters, calamities, devastated by armed conflicts or affected by widespread poverty, with the intention of bringing the principles of development cooperation and solidarity by the category.
Website
The website illustrates all the services made available by CNAPPC, the National Council of Architects Landscape Planners and Conservators, to foster the commitment of Italian architects who devote themselves to humanitarian assistance and the development of degraded areas.
Particular attention has been paid to associations that have joined the Network of Nonprofit Organizations Architects in Cooperation and Solidarity with customized fact sheets that tell their stories as well as provide contact information and useful links for further study.
The site, in its complexity and extent, uses a minimal and homogeneous graphic design that takes advantage of the poetics and elegance of black and white and lends itself to long and exhaustive navigation.
Ukrainian emergency
In 2022, the Ukrainian Emergency section was added, a networking platform between Italian architecture firms and Ukrainian refugee architects and architecture students in Italy, from which it’s possible to exchange work and hospitality.
